GE-RTV118.jpg (63906 bytes)

After sourcing crank filler via Japan with lead times of 6 months and more we have recently switched to GE RTV118. It is readilly available from several online vendors after a short Google search.

We have extensively tested this product and it meets our requirements in ease of application and outstanding durability in the engines. Appearance of the finished installation is the same as the factory filler currently used by OS Engines.

Have you ever had the silicone filler come loose or even disintegrate out of the crankshaft of your favorite engine? Couldn't find the right stuff to fix it? What the hell is that stuff anyway and why is it such a big secret? Well, the factories told us if we have some that need fixing to send them to Italy or France respectively and they would repair the crankshaft. Yeah, good luck!

After extensive searching and trying different things i was able to find just the right stuff which is being used by prominent japanese engine builder. Now we will make this self leveling red rtv available to everybody that wants it, including any engine modder that would like to use it. As a note: It took about 3 months to locate and another 3 months to purchase this product. So don't waste your time and try to " get it yourself" unless you are prepared to buy large quantities after you locate the stuff.

Use what the Pro's use and get the RED RTV CRANKSHAFT FILLER right here from Reid R/C Performance.PRICE $24.95  3oz Tube

Rich's Ramblings#2 are posted. Enjoy, or not.

November14/2007

Wow, what a busy summer it has been. My appologies for the missing updates since the spring but we had a good time racing this year. We built quite a few engines in between races and also learned a few things. More on that later as i get started with my off season project. An all out, no holds barred OS V-Spec Offroad Race engine. I will post the sections of the article as the work progresses.

Also up and coming is another "Rich's Ramblings" which will spell out a few things and probably piss off a few people as well. Can't wait.

Our good friend ED Bridges has reorganized his business and EB MODS is up and running on all cylinders. The EB MODS Tuned Pipe for the OS V-Series Engines is finished and will be available shortly. You can check out the DYNO numbers here.

Note: The current articles are meant to give an overview of the different parts and some facts and thoughts about them. Also a general description what is done to them during preparation. But it is not a "how to..." guide at this time. There will be further articles that will describe some of the work in detail.

We also have space for advertising/promoting your product (r/c nitro related only) on this site and our race trailer.

As you may have noticed we have completely overhauled our web site. After several years of being factory reps and importers for several European R/C product lines we have returned to our roots and the things we used to have fun doing. Modifying R/C engines and spending time at the track with friends and fellow racers.

In the coming weeks and months i am planing to rebuild our machine shop as well as this site.If you are looking for fast turn around and shiny crankshafts that look "cool" you are in the wrong place. But if you are looking for real performance upgrades based on 30 years of racing experience and close ties to some of the best engine builders in the industry then stay tuned.

'til soon
